Arnelle is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with a bachelor degree from the University of Toronto and a master degree in counselling psychology (MACP) from Yorkville University.

Arnelle loves people and is particularly passionate about working with teens. She understands their unique life experience and the depth of their challenges. Arnelle comes to us from a psychotherapy role in the youth justice field. She also has therapeutic experience with: anxiety, depression, self-esteem, trauma, anxiety, societal pressures, relationships (romantic, platonic and familial), anger management and much more.

You will find Arnelle welcoming and open to people of all backgrounds. She will be genuinely interested in your growth and well-being. She strives to create a warm and safe environment. Arnelle’s approaches to therapy include: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Relational Psychotherapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS).

Amy joins us from over a decade of work in a hospital-based treatment program for teens. Amy recognizes that adolescence is a unique life stage where young people are discovering their identity and forming habits, friendships, and experiences that will launch them into adulthood. She strives to empower youth to find their security through self-compassion, self-awareness, and healthy coping.

Amy takes a strengths-based approach and believes in providing anti-oppressive and trauma-informed care. Through compassion and warmth, Amy helps teens navigate the complexities of eating disorders, anxiety, depression, self-harm, self-esteem, loss, grief, and life transitions. She draws from multiple evidence-based modalities, including cognitive-based interventions, Narrative Therapy, and mindfulness-based interventions. Amy also has experience with Emotionally Focused Family Therapy (EFFT). She hopes to help teens and families find their strength, wisdom, and connection through the therapeutic process.

You can regularly find Amy on a hiking trail through a local forest, in the kitchen cooking up yummy meals, or sitting at the piano making music. Amy believes in healing the mind body connection through creative outlets and spending time in nature.

Amy and her husband have three young sons who are the delight of their lives.

Patricia has been working directly with young folks, kids, teens, and families for over 15 years. She works from an anti-oppressive framework and social justice context to build supportive, therapeutic relationships.

Patricia’s approach to working with individuals is all about highlighting and fostering strengths along with areas of success, resiliency, and collaboration in a non-judgemental space. She believes in the power of connection and compassion with yourself, family/chosen family, friends, and communities. Patricia will co-create and cultivate new ways of learning about, thinking about, and moving through challenging moments.

Patricia has extensive experience with complex family conflicts, as well as with assisting people to navigate the impacts of trauma, loss, grief, self-criticism, self-esteem, parenting/caregiving, and self-harming behaviours. She draws from multiple evidence-based modalities, including cognitive-based interventions, Narrative Therapy, and Emotion-Focused Therapy.

People often remark on her warmth, dry sense of humour, and insight. She is also a parent with a rambunctious and adorable child. When she’s not in session, you can find her teaching, soaking up music and art, and biking around the city.

Jennie is a Registered Psychotherapist. She transitioned from a career in communications and association management to focus on her passion for working with people. Her past experience emphasized the power of words and its effects on a person, as well as the positive impacts a safe, nonjudgmental space can provide to an individual.

She recognizes life can be unpredictable and overwhelming, at any stage of life. Her approach in therapy is client-focused, guided by the values of compassion, curiosity, humor and gentleness. Jennie’s therapeutic approach draws upon Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Psychodynamic modality, combined with interventions from Art Based Therapy and Mindfulness Therapy.

Her goal in therapy is to understand the client’s story and narrative. To collaboratively work together, with the client and family, to gain insight, clarity or achieve a specific goal. She believes each person and family possesses the strengths and insights to positively move forward. Areas of focus are anxiety, depression, self-esteem, life transitions as well as building and maintaining relationships.

Outside of work Jennie can be found walking and listening to music. She loves all musical genres and is always open to a song or artist recommendation. She enjoys yoga, reading, tea and spending time with friends and family.

Laura’s Master of Education in Counselling Psychology and Psychotherapy is from the University of Toronto. She has a long history of working with teens and families. Prior to her Masters, she was at the Distress Centre in Calgary where she provided a wide range of emotional support and crisis intervention to teens experiencing a broad range of concerns including anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship difficulties, self-harm, and grief. Before that, she worked with youth and their families within the school and community setting.

Laura’s hope is to help teens make sense of their experiences, utilize their strengths to cope with challenges, and be their authentic selves. Her hope with families is to help improve communication, restore connection, and heal from generational patterns. You will experience Laura as warm, caring and compassionate, allowing teens and families to share their stories, be understood, and feel empowered.

Coming from Colombia at the age of 6, Laura knows first-hand the difficulties that may arise when adapting to a new culture. She welcomes the opportunity to work with teens and families from diverse backgrounds. Laura is passionate about working from a humanistic, culturally-sensitive, and trauma-informed approach to best foster healing and growth. Her integrative approach draws on various evidence-based approaches such as Emotion-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems Therapy, Family-Based Therapy (FBT) for Eating Disorders, Narrative therapy, as well as Compassion and Mindfulness-based practices.

Outside of therapy, Laura loves being creative through dance, embroidering, playing the ukulele, and reading.

Marlie considers adolescence an essential time to cultivate a compassionate relationship with one's self, nurturing and healthy connections with others, and to develop resiliency that promotes greater wellbeing throughout the lifespan. Marlie has experience working with youth, adolescents, young adults and their families. Marlie has had diverse work experience, including youth with disabilities and their families, general mental health for adolescents and adults, and addictions and concurrent disorders. Marlie also has specialized training in treating insomnia.

Therapeutically, Marlie takes an attachment- and trauma-informed and strengths-based approach to working with her clients. Marlie uses an integrated approach uniquely fitted to each client’s needs which draws on various evidence-based approaches, including: internal family systems (IFS), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), mindfulness-based therapies, emotionally-focused family therapy, body-based interventions, and some cognitive-behavioural therapies. Marlie has completed additional training in IFS, EFFT, Narrative therapy, ACT and CBT-Insomnia.

Veronika comes to us from a career in the arts where she grew to be a passionate, creative thinker. Her experience in theatre, photography, music, writing and local activism inspired her to travel, learn and be open.

As a psychotherapist you'll find her to be nuanced, kind, attuned and deeply curious. She offers dedicated, safe, creative and non-judgmental psychotherapy that is rooted in compassion and humour. She helps a diverse clientele of teens, young adults, millennials and their families to understand, overcome, or learn to cope with a variety of issues such as anxiety, anger management, bullying, body image, self-esteem, self-harm and complex family dynamics.

She draws from many modalities, including: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Act and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) to tailor-make an approach to help teens and families untangle from their concerns, struggles and pain while encouraging them to move in a direction that is important to them, utilizing their strengths and values.

Brittany Cory is an experienced Registered Dietician who specializes in eating disorder recovery and intuitive eating for individuals who are ready to break free from the grips of food and body obsession so they can reclaim their life, time, and mental energy.

In session, Brittany brings warmth and empathy into her sessions and maintains a client centred approach. Brittany strives to provide a space where the client is comfortable and heard. Brittany uses her lived experience and professional education in nutrition to support teens and families in a safe space where all bodies are welcome.

Brittany approach to sessions are informed by her education at Toronto Metropolitan University, motivational interviewing and Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT).

In her free time Brittany loves crafts, crocheting, drawing, painting and nail art. She enjoys spending free time with her Bernese mountain dog, Archer.
