May 14th is Children and Youth in Care Day!

Children and Youth in Care Day is an annual, Ontario awareness day that was created to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and recognize children and youth in care. It is often used by advocates to bring together the community in solidarity and celebration.

Wendy, our digital marketer is connected to various initiatives related to child welfare, and we wanted to share some upcoming opportunities for you to learn more about the experiences of young people in and from care.

#14Stories is a podcast series featuring stories from young people about their experiences during the pandemic. A clip a day is being release until May 14th, Children and Youth in Care Day, when the feature-length episode will be released. This podcast is being created by Never Too Late, a pilot program of the Adoption Council of Ontario that aims to support young people aging out of the child welfare system find permanency.
